Default engage exhaust dump at certain rpm?

I just recently bought an electric exhaust dump that basically makes the exhaust skip the muffler when I flip a switch. I originally was thinking of just putting the switch on my dash but I now have a better idea of making engage only when I'm really stepping on it like after 3-5k rmp.

Does anyone know if any mechanism that could read the rmp and send out a positive signal? then i could hook it to a relay then to the dump

Take apart a shift light, take out the bulb and wire that up to a relay to open the cut out.

I would like to know how your truck is still running after winding it up to 30-35k? I don't think I've hit 4k before.
