I have two taurus fans mounted on my radiator. Only one is connected though because I kept burning the relay. Try and find them with the three wires coming out of them. One of mine just has two wires, but the third is the low speed for the fan. With them both on high, it was way to much draw. Oh and I have them just wired to a switch that I turn on when I get in my truck. $40 for the fans from a junkyard, $35 for the relay and switch, $10 for 12 gauge wiring. Only into it for $85 and can feel a big difference!

Sounds good man. I would def. use the water temp gauge and indiciator. The factory dummy gauge's can get you in trouble! Good to see someone taking every precaution and doing it right!

I'm not really second guessing myself, just trying to figure out the best and most cost efficient route to go. Researching reviews and how to's and specs and everything I can find. I like to be completely sure of something before I start buying parts

I've looked at troyer fans that there pretty expensive, i have been lookin to do this for awhile as well

So....what's an average install time with the right tools to eliminate the stock fan/clutch assembly and to install and wire something like the windstar option??

No idea, probably around 2 hours, but if your like me and have to have everything perfect and factory looking then probably double that time

Ok so heres what Im lookin at..

Windstar fans - $100
DC Controller w/ indicator - $115
Single gauge pillar pod - $25
Water Temp gauge - $60-100

Then of course I have to paint the pod and wire everything which may be a few more dollars here and there
