Default Edge issues

Been having some issues with my truck lately. Havent been driving it much, but whenever i do its been having trouble starting up. Cranks over fine, just wont fire...

A while ago after sitting for a while, trying to start it, it would crank over fine, but not start. I figured maybe it needed a jump, and it worked and started right up.

About a week before christmas i had the same problem. I figured another jump. This time it didnt help. I unplugged my Edge CS and it started right up. During my christmas break i drove it on a small road trip with no issues. I happened to check my trouble codes stored on the Edge and it threw a code for theft, or something along those lines. I really didnt think anything of it.

Now today i tried everything to get it started and it just wont. Cranks over fine. No trouble codes. Tried starting it with the edge plugged in and not. Also has a fairly new Optima red top in it. I disconnected the battery to try and reset the ecu. Nothing. I put the programming back to stock parameters. Nothing. Now the screen wont even come on the programmer and all it does is beep. Truck still wont start.

I havent investigated fuel or spark issues yet, as i believe the Edge is causing the malfunction. Any one experience similar issues?.. thanks for any input.

You may have locked up the PATS system with the edge. If the edge did something to the Ecu your truck did not like the pats system takes over and won't let you do anything because it thinks that it's being stolen. Try your spare key and if that doesn't work give ford a call to see what you can do

What's your cluster look like when trying to start it? Is the theft light flashing? And I wouldn't bother calling ford, they don't give info for free

Tried the spare key. No difference. Some times the gauges will do a full sweep and odo reads "------" If i recall correctly no theft light flash.. but i will verify tomorrow.

U just may need to call edge. They can recover ur PCM. Just tell them what happend they will tell u to download fusion software from there web site and then u will plug ur edge up to the computer they will load a stock tune in it for ur truck and then u plug it in to your truck and load it and bam! Everything is as it was before and should work normal. The programmer will be like it came out the box and ur truck should crank. I have done this 3 times with edge lol that's the number hope it helps

Thanks for the help guys.
So i tried messing with the truck tonight. I left the programmer plugged in since i messed with it thursday. (Apparently it has been beeping ever since and i think it may have drained my battery) anyway, i tried cranking it over and after a few cranks the battery died. So i hooked some jumper cables on it and turned it onto accessories. The theft light was flashing and then it started to go in some sort of sequence (dont ask, i dont remember). So i unplugged the programmer and hooked up my code scanner. No codes. I turned it off, and turned the key back to accessories. Theft light came on for 3 seconds and went away. I tried cranking it over again, still no luck. Im going to call Edge tomorrow and see if i can download new/updated/whatever software, and go from there.

Luckily though, one of my good friend's girlfriend's father is a ford master tech and has owned several F150s and has been trying to help me. Having time to try and work on the truck is scarce.

I really dont know why the Edge wont even come on and just beeps either. Ugh

You can always replace PCM power relay and see if this helps.

Get rid of the edge i have been fighting a similar issue with my truck snd i dont have pats. Ive been thru 3 CTS's and the problem persists. The keep pawning the issue of saying its my truck, but as soon as i hook a SCT up it has no problems.
