So ive had the edge programmer for awhile now and have had it on the tow setting but my question is does having it on the tow setting have more performance gains than having it on the trans only setting? the only thing i hate about the tow setting is my truck wont go over 70 mph. Any info will help!

 

Your truck won't go over 70? That's weird. trans only won't give any performance, it's a tune where the trans shifts soft which is supposed to increase fuel economy but it's almost the same as tow.

 

yea it hits 70 and my truck starts cutting out. its probobly so when people are towing they wont go voer 70 or something? but the tow setting does have more gains than the trans only setting?

 

something is wrong with your set-up, I have the Edge and my truck is always set on tow and it def goes faster than 70

 

daaamn. ill try and email edge performance and see if they can tell me whats going on.

 

do the custum tune and see where u speed limiter is set at..

 

ive tryed messing with the speed limiter and it will only go the way that makes my truck slower for some reason

 

tow mode should not determine a set speed like that, i agree..def. give tech support a call but i couldnt tell ya how helpful they will be!

 

Curious what happens if you set it back to stock? If it still does it it might be something else. If it doesn't try the other two tunes and see the results.
