easy fix???
alright guys and gals im looking into a 2001 ford f150 with a 5.4 v8. guy says its got some issues and was wondering what you guys think of em and curious if its an easy fix or not... http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/4375630654.html thats the link to the truck. he says "The truck has wiring problems, not sure what's going on with it, it was running for 15 minutes and then it cut itself off, it blows the fuel pump fuse when you turn key on and turn the engine over."
What do ya think????

If it's shutting off because the fuel pump turns off, new fuel pump wires would be easy to run and get going again. If it's shutting off for no reason, then you would have to dig into it, and figure it out yourself.
I would be more concerned with those big tires. That's a lot of weight to be slinging around on a stock front end, and the pick up might be weak if it's not geared for those big tires, plus transmissions don't like big tires either.
Check for how many miles are on the truck, and what the service has been on it. That's a pretty decent looking truck, so there has to be some underlying problems for that low of a price, especially with $4000 of lifts and tires on it alone.
