Hello folk! So I just bought a 2001 f150 in November and just encountered this window issue. All of a sudden the passenger window would not go up. I ordered a new motor and after getting the old one out discovered there's a problem with both motors, window will not go up, i connected both motors and they only spin down. Any ideas on what I should do next? Thanks for your time

Wiring, relay not getting connection/working right, or other under that caterogry. The motors that connect to the regulator are simple two wire electric motors (similar but bigger than ones you can get at a hobby store). Positive and Negative electrodes, reverse the polarity and they change direction. All your truck wiring does, is simply change the ground and applies + current to change the direction.

I would check all my connections at the switches first.

Just to check the motor, you can tinker with a 12v battery and hook it to each respective terminal to see if goes up and down.

I don't mean to hi-jack your post, but i've had kind of the same issue as well.

Last year, while driving, the window would suddenly go down on its own. Which scared the crap out of me a few times... ha I did notice, that when my left leg was against the panel, i could feel something push out, while the window went up or down. After the truck sat for most of the winter, the window would not go down at all. Then suddenly, it started working again, just a little slow. But it hasn't gone down on its own again, yet. I was thinking something funky in the switch, but maybe it is as simple as a loose wire and something being off track?
