Default driver door key pad code?

I am new here, because i just bout my 2002 F-150 Supercrew KingRanch today. I am trying to figure out how to get the code for the door key pad and if possible set it to my own code. I did a search and seen several people say the factory code is on the box up above the pedals. I found that and unless i am doing something wrong, it doesn't work. Can anyone offer any help?

Default Locks

That should work providing the system isn't broke. Roll your window down (just in case the doors lock) and push the right two buttons (7/8 and 9/0) and see if the doors lock. This should tell you that at least part of the system works.

do i push 7/8 then 9/0 or push them at the same time? If that is all that it takes to open the truck isn't that i major security issue. Or will it only work with the window down for that reason.

Pushing the 7/8 and 9/0 at the same time LOCKS the truck. You were advised to roll the window down so you don't get locked out without the code. If that doesn't lock the truck, you may have a bad fuse or something like that

There is a piece of paper that came with my manual that has the factory code. Also once you figure out what the factory code is then you can set your own personal code that is more easy for you to remember. (the factory code will always work) The instructions to set the personal code will be in the owners manual.

I went through this... I read its behind the back seat under the dash under the hood etc etc etc...

I finally got fed up one night... ripped apart the truck to find it... sure enough... it was on the white box right above the pedals to the left...
