Different Suicide door issue
I've read about many guys/gals having their suicide door stuck. I'm having the opposite issue. On my driver's side, the door is perfect. Closes and opens great and it's solid when it's shut. However, I can grip the passenger side (while it's closed) and pull it and push it and make it move. As a bonus, I get a little annoying squeeky sound, too. Anyone have any ideas how I can TIGHTEN that suicide door?

Are your rubber door seals all in good shape and in tact?

I've had the same problem with my truck since we got it (circa 2007). I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it properly. But it's easy to get it to stop squeaking. I hold tightly to the top 1/3 of the suicide door when I'm closing it and close it firmly with my hand on it the whole time.

Ok - so I loosened the screws with a star bit. It was a BITCH! Who knows when last they were turned. The more they unscrewed the harder it got!?! At any rate, I removed 2 shims that had been put in and screwed the bracket down tight. The squeak is coming from the latch at the top... 100% I need to WD40 that. The door still doesn't close as tight as the other. The Rubber and seals around the door are all in very good shape. I make sure I armorall it about once a month. That's about as good as I can get it! So, try loosened the bracket. You might be surpised that it's shimmed too much and lessening the shim, tightening down the bracket could end up in less squeak, or maybe it'll all be gone!?
