I had them in my OEM heads/fogs and never once got flashed. I don't know how old they were because they were already installed by the previous owner but I never had any type of problems with them. Took them out when I installed new heads/fogs and sold them on craigslist.

I'm guilty of it, just trying to steer you to a better kit if your going to do it.

'Ive had DDM's for 3 years in my 97 F-150. Never been flashed. Never had a bulb go out. Never had a ballast problem. I also have them in my Harley Road Glide, my BMW K1200LT and my BMW R1100S. They've been in the S for 5 years, countless rain storms, one crash and 45K miles without a single hick-up.

I have had my HID's for about 2 years now and I haven't had a problem. I have 8K 55W on the headlights and 3K 55W on the fog lights. Changing my fog lights to 8K is on my to do list.

What is the difference between the 35w and 55w that they offer?

Seriously the smartest person I know,
It probably has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of light out put or the intensity.
Thanks bro 👍

Seriously couldn't stop laughing!

Obviously the difference is intensity.

Maclegend, the higher wattage will give you brighter lights (obviously). If you are looking to improve visibility, I would recommend going with 6K or 8K 55w. The 6K bulb has a hint of blue and 8K is light blue. If you decide to go with a 6K 35w you will decrease visibility and will have a color similar to a 8K bulb.

Browse through youtube and you will be able to find videos showing the differneces.

I have DDM HID kits in my f150 , never been flashed. I also had them in explorer, never been flashed. If you make sure you headlights are pointed downward SLIGHTLY you will never be flashed and it does not affect the HIDs too much. Youll be fine!
