Default CV joints. Why they fail after T-bar crank.

Here's a great video I found for a company that makes CV joints. The demonstrations he does teaches alot about U-joints and CV-joints.

Great demos on how running at excessive angles leads to failures.

I'd like to figure out how to run some of the ones he's selling on my Jeep.

I would imagine.
Maybe on a custom buggy with a full belly pan they might work. They don't look like they would stand up to being packed with mud, or being bashed on rocks as regular U-joints do(somewhat).

They are interesting though. I learned a lot from the video.

I too wonder about reliabilty in harsh scenarios like those. Or with all the salt here in Canada.

Without being completely sealed in some type of boot, you wouldn't think they would do very well.
Unless the bearing part of them is sealed somehow.

Here's the website. http://www.thompsoncouplings.com/home2.php

I'm sure you could come up with some type of boot for it if they don't already have one
