Conversion

Is it possible to convert the drums on a 97 f150 to disc brakes, anyone that has done it before can you please tell how it is done and how much.

i think it is cause i know you can do it on older trucks

Get the rear brakes off of a new F150 and install them. Should bolt right on. Might have to change the master cyl to compensate for the disc brakes on the rear. IF you truck has an 8.8 should be a direct fit.

forgive the newb question but what is 8.8

An 8.8 is the ring gear size on your differential you can check that by looking on a tag on the cap of the differential if you see an 88 then you have an 8.8

I dont think that the tag is still there is there a way by looking at the vin number
