Default Summit or Gibson

im looking into exhaust kits......i want to have dual tail pipes and i dont care where they exit... the kit from Gibson starts at $420 and up. Summit Racing also offers kits for only $150. any one know which ones better? and for only $150 i could also get the headers too. whats the better choice?

I would personally go with the headers and exhaust from summit. Most exhaust systems are going to give you about the same amount power so most of the time you are paying for the name.

I have personal experiance with the summit headers and I can say that they really arent that great because while I was driving they simply sheared off at the collector not even at a weld but the metal it self and also they are fairly hard to put in a good set of headers sold on summit is headmen( not sure of the spelling) but they have worked pretty good for me for the year that I have had them but the thing is when you are comparing gibson to summit you are comparing steel headers with ceramic ones in which the ceramic will offer you better performance simply because they tend to not emit as much heat as the steel ones and they dont rust.

That summit exhaust sucks. I had it for a total of a week before I ran true duals. It sounds like a stock system, it just exits from the rear.

I like Magnaflow. With a Magnaflow mufler you can look straight thru it.. Cant get much better flow than that. Its quiet at idle and low revs, for when the Po Po are around. Nice sound at WOT.
