Default Cold air intake, should I buy

I have the opprotunity to buy a chrome air intake (the brand) from a guy for $40. I know it's a cheaper brand but is it still worth it?

Not worth it ...
  • no performance gain.
  • metal intake would be a HUGE heat-sink. i.e. hotter air being intaked.
Your sig' indicates "97 f150 4.6" you do realize that you posted in the 2009 - Present Ford F150 forum, right ?
