I'll have to ask MPT about that when I call them for another issue, my point was ( at least with my sct ) is the stock tunes make no adjustments for a cai in the 97-03 models.

Aftermarket ones are a waste of money.

Google "gotts mod" for his air intake mod. That will give you the same 5-10hp that a CAI will give you for a 10x+ less money.

I guess that logic makes me a liar. After putting a volant intake on my 02 4.6 I gained MPG, better throttle response and the engine roars now compared to stock. Just my experience with an aftermarket intake

Thanks everybody for the help, i got the stuff together and did the gotts mod on my 4.6 yesterday, it worked beautifully. thanks again!
