never. lol. It had a reman 5.4 placed in it 50,000 miles ago. I bought the truck 2500 miles ago and I have not touched them. I knew they were called something else but couldn't think of what. I replaced the coil pack on my 4.2 last year.

Aren't the coils themselves around $70 bucks? I have some stumbling, after it gets warmed up, while at part throttle, like under load going up hills. I should get this thing scanned. It is fine until it gets warmed up good.

You could also possibly have a cracked plug. I've had plugs come cracked, right out of the box. Cracked porcelain is sensitive to temperature change.

I would do the boots/springs and plugs, personally.

BTW - Do you have the money light on right now?

If the light is on, don't guess what it's telling you - get it scanned.
