Clutter from front end
Recently my truck has started to make this cluttering from what seems to be the left front side of the truck. I knew I had a bad cv axle so I replaced and that seemed to help it alot but there still little bit there but not near as bad as before. Any ideas what this could be
Jack up the truck and shake it down for any looseness. Lift the tire off the ground, lift at the frame, don't lift at the front axle or suspension, we want the front to be as relaxed as possible. Put your hands at 3 and 9 o'clock on said lifted wheel and push back andforth, if you get any movement here its either tierod, (inner or outer), or could be pitman arm. Then put your hands at 6 and 12 o'clock with your bottom fingers kinda under the tire and kinda lift the wheel while pushing the top. If you get any movement there its balljoints. If you got the same amount of travel both ways it could also be wheel bearing. But if that's all tight then first check the area for loose parts, ie, your fenderwell, any plastic parts that are loose. If nothing then take off tire and inspect brakes and your sway bar links, if so equipped. If they look normal then pull off your caliper and brake pads, and look at your dust shield and see if its loose or broken as these can sometimes rust away.
Hope this helps you narrow your problem down.
