Exaust exit question

Default Exaust exit question

I have a 98 4x4 lariat and want to run true duals in front of each rear tire but looking at it the transfercase looks to be in the way has anyone done this or have any sugestions

The gas tank is also in the way

That's how i want to do mine. I saw a 2wd supercrew in a parking lot with that setup the other week, so it can be done.

Im not sure how comfortable I would be with hot exhaust pipes that close to the gas tank. If you do it you better get your heat shields right and look out for the wiring.

Of course it can be done but it'd be smart not to do it.. I got told by three different exhaust shops that it wasn't something that I should do, as well as it'd be difficult because the gas tank.

True duals are not worth it. First it's twice the price in mufflers and piping. 2nd pipes should be almost exactly the same to get equal pressure and a good sound. 3rd you won't notice a difference from running true duals to running a y pipe except for that high price of true duals. Also that f150 you saw in the parking lot was probably a y pipe to a single in, dual out muffler with rear exit pipes. Chances are it wasn't true duals
