Am I the only one that hasn't heard of this 9.2 or 9.33 differential?

Not if he has 3.08's which he said he probably does. Those and the 3.55's in the 2wd without the towing package had non-limited slip.

Edit: I just saw your post just after that one, lol. My bad.

Lol, and I just realized that as well. It just came up on my feed. I've been away so long I forgot I have to check dates on these things on this forum.

Lol, I feel like I've been gone so long that I'm essentially a newbie to the forum again.

LOL, I was a long time lurker, and possibly have an old account. But I can't remember the credentials... so here I am as a newbie.

The reason I even chimed in on this thread was the "9.2 rearend". I consider myself a Ford head (albeit mostly Mustangs), and I've never heard of that. I know 7.5, 8, 8.8, 9, 9.75, 10.25...... never heard of that pig.

I wonder if this axle he's talking about is the old Lincoln 9 3/8? It's a dropout 3rd member that is mistaken for a 9. But that was only used in Lincolns AFAIK.

Interesting... my Buddy has a 68 Continental and he said it was Lincoln only. But Randy's says it came in:

Continental: 1966 - 1972 (Rear)
E-150 1/2 Ton: 1975 - 1976 (Rear)
F-100 1/2 Ton: 1964 - 1975 (Rear)
F-150 1/2 Ton: 1964 - 1975 (Rear)
Fairlane: 1966 - 1971 (Rear)
Galaxie: 1966 - 1972 (Rear)
LTD: 1965 - 1975 (Rear)
Thunderbird: 1966 - 1972 (Rear)

Lol, no idea. Once you leave F150 territory I'm lost.
