I cant tell a difference. Wait yes I can . Theres no dust on wheels.
These big trucks dont stop like a little car no matter what.
If I push pedal hard and antilock starts doing its thing.....the brakes work as well as they are able.

But doesnt supercrew has larger brakes than supercabs, like for expedition? Maybe that makes a difference.
Shoot, for years I tried to get my truck to brake like it did new again. Upgraded everything, just couldn't get there. BUT, I was under the impression Ceramics were an upgrade so I never thought to switch back to Semi metallic pads. The difference was huge...I wash my truck, so dust an isn't issue. That seem to be what folks care about most.

I'm the same way, don't put a lot of faith in what others tell me...I have to figure it out for myself lol. However, I keep it honest.

I upgraded and updated back in 2008, - new master, new hard lines, new hoses, Brembo rotors, steel piston calipers and Carquest Gold Ceramic life time pads (Raybestes). The brakes were good or good enough. Still not what I expected. If I hadn't of upgraded the pads to Ceramics back then, I would have had it set up better than new and the truck would have braked that way. What ticks me off about that, I did extensive research, everything on You tube and other half ton forums pushed Ceramic pads. I didn't think about seeking info from heavy truck forums until recently...That's where the correct info exists..dangit!

Not saying they do. But I did say my truck stops shi77ier with ceramic pads. My Expy on the other hand stops just fine with ceramics, so maybe that does make a difference... I dunno.

Right now, yes. But I just bought Wagner Semi Metallics for it. Was going to do them tomorrow, but I suddenly have a bunch of help coming to put up sheetrock! LOL.... So, the brakes can wait a bit longer.

I don't know...I mean, if your hauling the sheet rock...Pads don't take that long to switch out. Just a thought.

Nah, you'll be alright lol.

My B-I-L owns a construction company, and he is bringing it with him. I'm paying his price for it... so he's picking it up. It'll be arriving in a Chebby.

A Chevette ? So your good, but there's a good chance he'll need tow.

I put them on in October.... maybe end of September.

What is strange is, I bought the same pads I have on the Expy because those feel great. ***shrug*** The truck though, has a lot more pedal effort in "quick stop" situation.
