Default CEL after new throttle body

Hey everyone, I'm new here and looking for some advice. last night i installed a 75mm BBK throttle body on my 97 F150 4.6L and now i have a CEL on.
I'll be checking the code after work but I'm assuming it may be a "Lean" code since i do have a Airaid CAI on the truck as well. should i just swap back to the stock Throttle Body or is there something else i can do to correct this and keep both parts on the truck?

Depending on the code, you may need a tune. Personally I'd put it back to stock until you get the code read.

Yep. I'd read the code and see what it is. Then I'd put the old part back on and see if the light/code goes away. If it does then the new part isn't going to work for you.

Hello,
i got the code read and it came back as a Throttle Body Sensor(TPS) code. it is shifting a little odd so I'm guessing I'll need to put the OEM unit back on and return the throttle body. the little extra pep was nice but don't want to risk damaging anything.

Double check the sensor connection. Maybe it is just loose.

That’s what I’ll be doing once I get home. Unplug then plug it back in and hope that does the trick .

Send that stuff back?

It would be cool if the factory TB unit was your bottleneck, but life’s not always that simple.
