Ive had the 8ft whip, and now i have dual 4ft mounted on my headache rack about the same level as my toolbox. The good thing about the 8ft was i could bend it back and hook it in the stake pocket for garages and such

Both hit EVERY fast food driveway lmao

A whip is different than a cb antenna though right i dont think a cb antenna would like being bent back like that lol. I still have my 4 foot wilsons but my 6ft firesticks are tightened with a wrench so good i cant get em out. I had contemplated going back to the 4 footers for such reasons as carwashes and other places. Anyway my vuddy with a lifted dodge has 4 footers first set he had his toolbox lid swung open on the highway and cracked one of his whips open so he gets another set anyway he has em bout 6 months if that n gets new tires as they put the truck on the lift they leave he antennas on a crack one. They tooj the pric off his bill but that has to suck teo sets in under a year.

Ok to tune it you will need an allen wrench and you will loosen the antenna and move it up and down, now go in to your cb and change the swelch as high as you want it (i turn it all the way up) then go from the last channel to the first and then move the antenna up and down again until the static at the two channels is as low as possible then tighten the antenna in that spot... And bam you tuned your cb... Lol hope you got all that

Yes they are different, but i never had a problem with my four foot cb antennas... But when i went to a car wash or something like that where they would stay bent for awhile i taped them together over the cab
