Default Cat converter replacement

I’m in need of new cats on my 03 5.4 to pass next inspection, I’m in PA. Mechanic wants a hefty junk to replace.

Ive come across a couple kits on amazon/ebay. My only worry is it causing the o2 sensors to throw a code. No problem doing the work myself, just rather get the bolt on kit as I have no access to a welder.

anybody have any comments or have purchased aftermarket cats for there 150?

Right, just buy a cheap a ss cat online and install it yourself
Clear codes and retest and the P0420 or P0430 code should be gone
I replace about 20 cats a year, always go with the cheapest one I can find in America
Had good luck so far
The one I took off my wife's Taurus weighed 40-50 lbs
The replacement weighed less than 30
