Cargo racks on camper tops.
I have a camper top for my SCAB short bed F150. Just wondering how easy or hard it is to mount the cargo racks that I see on some of them. What is needed? Most of the racks I see attach to the cargo rails like what is mounted on top of a SUV. Also how do I find out what the max weight rating is or my camper top to have on top of it? Thanks for any help fellow F150 owners.
On a side note. My truck is dark green with tan on the bottom. Would it look good if I repainted the faded camper with black bedliner or should I repaint it to match? Just wanted some opinions on it.

Jolly, thanks for the feedback. The previous owner tried to paint it to match but botched it. No primer and no clear so now it's a fads shade of my truck's color. So now it has to be stripped and then re-painted where as with the bedliner I can just paint it without much prep work. I want to PTM but money is limited right now.

Ltc, how is it worthless without pics? Why are pics needed for advice on a rack system and an opinion on paint to math or bedliner? I would post pics but the camper is. It on the truck and there is a multitude of pics on my profile of my truck.

I didn't see any pics in your album of a topper on your truck, plus I wanted to see pics of toppers with racks on them. The "without pics" thing is to urge others to post pics if they have them, not to get onto you for not posting one. I don't have any myself...

Oh, I see now ltc. I don't have any pics with the topper on it. I rarely use it, but I would probably use it more once I get it fixed up a little better than it is. The topper was a freebie that came with the truck. The only reason I'm thinking of painting it with bedliner is cost, limited funds for projects right now. But I hate the way my paint on my truck looks good but he camper's paint looks like crap when I use it.

^ that's a sweet looking setup jolly. Thanks for he pics.
I would probably leave mine on the truck if it didn't look so bad. It's a faded shade of my truck's green paint. The previous owner painted a white topper with the same color that my truck is only they didn't do any prep work or a clear coat so it now looks horrible and faded. I'm just not sure if I want to put a quality bedliner spray on it or PTM. Funds are limited so PTM is out right now, lol.
