can it be done? should it be done?

can it be done? should it be done?
i have a specific question that i'm afraid i already know the answer to, but i'd like some other opinions from folks who may have tried something like it.
i have a 99 f150 with a 4.6L, 5spd manual, k&n cai, flowmaster exhaust, 170k on it. love the truck. serves my needs well enuff. kinda a dog in some situations as i'm sure they all are.
looking at a 2010 21 ft gulfstream amerilite travel trailer. says 3200lb dry weight. i'd be traveling with two people, 2 dogs, 2 small kayaks, 2 mountain bikes, and an average amount of supplies for camping trips.
can the old girl do it, or should i be looking at a new (well, new to me) truck too?
thanks in advance.

thanks for a vote of confidence.
i hauled all the supplies for the steel roof we installed with it. about 60 miles. lots of hills. it did it, but it didnt like it. cant be sure what that weighed. supplies were 1750 pounds. not sure about the 16ft trailer. it was a loaner. i've hauled wood and mulch on a 10ft trailer with it a lot, but those are real short trips.
ive read that with the manual trans you should figure on cutting the towing capacity numbers in half. if thats true, i'd be pushing it. i'd be making longer trips with the camper too at times. 300-400 plus miles.
would rather sell it than kill it. would rather not do either.
