Calling anyone with rear cats removed
I found a guy that will do some really nice exhaust for me for pretty cheap. I have the muffler just cut off currently. It sounds alright, I just would like some more noise. I'm 19, so I still like it loud
I have two Dynomax Mini Bullets waiting to be put on. I would basically have them just replace the two rear cats. Just don't want to have it be too obnoxious. My girlfriend will kill me if it's too loud
Anyways, I'm just wanting some feedback for people that have cut the rear cats.
Let me hear what you got to say!

Yea it'll sound better than what your running now, = no muffler. Delete the rear cats, have them weld in a 2.5" pipe section in their place.
Then have them install the bullets. It'll run and sound better if it's done tightly. = No leaks.
Don't forget to reset the KAM.

I did it at the same age, was cool for 6 months then I realized getting headaches while driving and sometimes getting embarrassed bc it's so obnoxious wasn't cool. Now the 98 has a muffler on it but it's still too loud for my taste. Now I can't have a quiet truck again without dropping some coin into a 15 yr old trucks exhaust. I wouldnt

Tempted to do this myself, thought I read it wouldn't throw a code either. Just have a flow master dumped at the axle right now previous owner did. Doesn't sound bad but two less cats and Borlas out the back should be a lot better.

Now your talkin. That will take that part throttle drone away. Right, no DTC's as long as the systems tight.

I chopped out my rear cats 3 or 4 months ago. Before I had all 4 cats and then a single magnapack with a single exit in the stock position. It was loud when you accelerated but the Boise was almost non existant at almost any cruising speed. Also the idle was louder than stock but not as loud as I would have liked. After the rear cat chop the idle sounds perfect and you can hear a little rumble when you are cruising. It still don't have any annoying drone I don't get headaches or anything like that from it. The noise is easily cancled out with by the radio and with the radio off you can still have a conversation In the cab and not have to raise you voice. Now under acceleration it's pretty loud, it will turn heads sometimes. But it's still not obnoxiously loud. Now when you go full throttle it will ring you ears a little but that's expected. I also Deleated my rear o2s when I deleted the rear cats. I had MPT turn off the rear o2s so I have no CEL Heres an in cab video for you, alot of the noise in the video is caused by my tires and the wind but it gives you an idea of what it's like. I can get a start up and out of cab video if you like

I'm running true dual flowmaster 40's with the rear cats deleted and dumped before the rear axle. I had them run out the back before I dumped it and it sounded real good. Not too much drone but just enough. Pretty loud too. Now with it dumped the drone is pretty bad but I love the deep sound it has now. No CEL either.
