Ebay has those cheap cold air intakes for like 50 bucks.... I've had one on my 02 for 4 years or so...

Those 5speed 4.2's are gutless for towing. But they are nice for daily driving and what not.. If i didn't need to tow i'd got my 02 or 08 with a 5speed..... They are tough I've never had any engine problems with either truck. One has close to 170k miles.. And the 08 has 81ish k miles.

check my link in my sig. i have a single 2004 heritage 4x4 4.2 v6. so its a 97-03 body

i plan on lifting it with 35s within the next couple months. i want a tool box for the bed and a cap too. i have a behind the seat storage rack for it i need to put in. swaped the stereo out. plasti dipped the exterior trim pieces black. rims black

i want to re gear it to 4.10s or 4.56s but idk if i will have the cash to do it right away. but if i get a body lift and 35s i will have the cash to re gear and lock the rear end. so i am undecided at the moment. i think the bl 3" with locked rear would be a better off road toy for my price range.

i also want to do a seat swap. i would love the king ranch seats but they are hard to find around here for decent price. i would settle for cloth 60/40 seats with arm rest. the bench seat sucks. plus the arm rest has storage which my single cab needs

theres my future plans and some i already have done. check out my link below

also i might do a side swept catback exhaust. the 4.2 sounds better than the 4.6 v8 with exhaust
