I'd go black. I've always sprayed mine black and clear coated in the spray booth. Can alway add some vinyl before the clear coat. Mine have held up fine with abuse. 4 or 6 piston calipers, maybe worth showing off! Stock should be discreet IMO. Yours would be a stock upgrade. Rusty sucks either way!

These were a little more but not by much.
Yea, that's were mine came from. Not 7700's tho, - I went with the OEM Ford caliper housings (twin piston OEM, 1/2t non 7700) , built w/steel slides and pistons. I would of went 7700's, didn't realize the option. However, I paired the upgraded calipers with Brembo HD rotors and braided lines.

The improved stopping power is noticeable with or without load. It's much improved everywhere. Night and day from OEM factory setups. Like I said before, you'll like it...

I did the stainless brake line upgrade a little while ago.

The brembos I ordered ended up being for a 2wd and to my irritation, I can't find Brembos for a 4wd Expedition.

Now I'm scouring the bowels of the interwebs trying to find something comparable.

I know, advice from your favorite guy!

Expensive but none better that is easily available.

Probably available on ebay or amazon at better prices.

I agree the gaudy colors are over the top but there is a reason for it. The bright colors highlight the sheen of the paint. In high heat conditions the sheen changes and the bright colors help with quick visual inspections for indications of performance.

BTW, good looking truck. A serious, "shaken, not stirred," all business posture to it.

Default Calipers should I paint?

I didn't end up painting the calipers or rotors today. I'm going to tackle that in a couple of weeks when I feel like it and have more time.

I pulled mine off the brackets, pulled the pads and masked everything off. To be completely honest you can't really even see them through my wheels and I definitely thought you would have been able too. I don't know if you even want to try and fool with it.

That seems a little to long to be a breather tube. You can't see mine from looking at the truck on the ground unless your looking straight up at it.

Yea, I can't help there, since I've never explored the 7700/expy route, wish I could tho. Perhaps you'll find a way, - hope so

At least you know what it takes and what to improve with these systems. Looks like - finding the right rotors are going to be a hurdle to overcome. Or did I miss something here ? I know your posting in two places, did you find rotors or resort to OEM. I believe you said you installed them somewhere lol... I guess I missing the part between you getting the wrong rotors from brembo, - next your installing them lol.

I did read the part where you installed the calipers backward or upsidewrong lol. That's nothing, just installed a new bumper on the 98 and put the brackets on upside down....I even had them marked! The 98's back together, plating it tomorrow. Damn I missed that truck lol.
