What's the difference between a cold air intake and a piece of pvc with a performance air filter? Maybe it's a stupid question but just from the looks of a CAI there's not much of a difference.

 

i`ve been told by a few guys that the cold air doesnt no much for ya... that the gotts mod is the same and cheaper... i did mine 3 weeks ago and am not regretting it at all well worth it espcially when u remove the silencer..

Yea I was asking because I'm going to do the Gotts mod tomorrow and I was trying to find a reason to justify $300 for a CAI. Did you do the silencer when you did the Gotts because I was wondering if there is a noticeable difference with one at not the other?

i noticed on the highway my truck dowesnt down shift it hiolds the gear andclimbs the hill no problem but i definately recommend doing this modification...
