Default Broken cupholder

The sliding cup holder in the dash is pushed in but will not slide back out. I am thinking a spring or something is broken. Does anyone know how to fix this and also it's for my friends 2002.

Same with my cup holder if you push it in and then try to grip it with your fingers you can pull it out to use it

Thin screw driver can pry it out. 2 self tapping screws to reattach said broken spring. Ask me how I know.

Ok I just got mine fixed. There is two tabs on the top part of the cup holder you push down then reach in the hole and grab your big metal spring thing out.
