i have a 2001 f-150 4wd and the bolts that hold the brake caliber on keep coming off and the caliber with fall against the rim it has done this five or six times and it results in me buying a new rim each time cause it cuts trew the rim each time. has anyone ever heard of this and does anyone know how to stop it. its getting on my nerves i jsut dont see how it can back out

if any of the threads look shiny then they might be stripped if youve replaced them then u probably need a new knuckle due to someone over tightening the bolt. U can try lock tight but i would advise against it try replacing the bolts first good luck

I thought the bolts came with locktight on them. If they can be screwed in or out by hand replace them. Its too bad the heads of the bolts aren't drilled for lock wire as is used in aviation.
