Brakelights, Hazards, and Turn Signals Not Working???
#11
Just to add to this...I had to replace my heater core once and had to remove the dash. I dropped the steering assembly down out of the way. When I put everything back together, I had no low beam headlights. I spent hours trying to figure out what got pulled loose and never found it. I took it to a shop and they took care of it for me.

Pins pullout at the multifunction switch. Common problem. I would get a new hardshell from ford. When you get the multifunction switch out. On the connector that the pop pulled out on, the clip that holds the wire in will be broken and the pin will just come out again. On the face of the connector there will be a part number. Call the ford dealer with that number they can cross it to just the hardshell. Swap all the pins over and fixed. All you need is a Phillips, torx sockets and a pick.

jgarcia90 you are the man!!! 1997 Expedition I borrowed from work to tow a trailer. All of a sudden, no blinkers or brake lights. Spent all morning checking fuses, cleaning connections, wiggling wires, searching the internet and just basically staring at it. Then I found this thread, went out, tilted the steering wheel up....everything works fine!! Tilt wheel down...they all go out. I will second what trietveld said, I wouldn't have thought of this in a million years!!
THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Had to replace on an old spring loaded tilt wheel buick. Man was that a job. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

My turn to jump in the sing the praises to jgarcia90 and this forum. Went online to find a wiring diagram to help diagnose loosing my right turn signal. Just getting ready to rip the dash apart when my Google search landed me back here.
My many many Kudos' to JG for the post.
Any way to fix the problem so I can return the tilt to the more comfortable location?

Note: You do have a loose/bad connection in the column and over time it will heat up and burn some wires/not a good thing to have happen. A search for the exact spot/turn signal/ing switch? Needs to be found and repaired.

Blinkers, flashers, tail lights not working
I'd like to add my 2 cents. I tried all the fixes....checked all my fuses, replaced all my tail light bulbs, replaced flasher relay on the right side of dash, no fun, had to tear my whole dash apart , because the black box it is in, was taped shut. Ran down all my wiring, even tried the different tilts on the steering column, nothing worked.
UNTIL..... next to the spare tire, on the driver's side, under the pickup bed, (I have a 1998 F250 extended cab, not super duty, but does have tow package) there is a wiring harness connection (it's a pretty big one) mine came apart very easily. I plugged it back in, but it wasn't tight. (there isn't any fitted plastic locking connections on it) My brother used a pair of oversized channel locks to push them together. Viola! Everything works!!
