A set of line wrenches a flairing gun new fittings( dontt try to reuse old corroded ones) and break line I would just zip tie the new to the old lines so you dont dammage other lines when removing the broken ones also hit all fittings with pb blaster before looseing because if u break emm off they are a pain its not a hard job just kind of tedious

Buy the brake lines by the roll.Its Cheaper.
Get a double flare kit. Easy just takes a little patience and practise.
Heating the fittings makes them easier to get out. If the fittings are still in good shape there is no reason why you cant reuse them. There were 3 unions in the line I replaced so I kept the fittings as backup.
Crawl under the truck, disconnect the fitting and rip the old line out, you dont have to match them up or anything, then simply run the new line without cutting the roll,that way you have enough. Personally I wouldnt rerun them in the rail, it holds water and salt
Lastly you will have to bleed the brakes, and if your blowing brakelines on a 97, chances are you`ll need new wheel cylinders.
