So i recently bought my 01 f150 lariat now that im 16 and i had a friend tell me that my reverse lights came on every time that i brake. I have replaced the fuse, brake relay, and bulbs, i honestly cant think of anything else that is wrong besides bad grounds and i dont know how to check that...someone please help me.

 

Sounds like the sockets are somehow reversed. Take off light and see if they are criss crossed. Either that or some hack job wiring.
