Default box crossmember replacement

Lads,

The crossmembers on my '98 F-150 box have rotted out and I would like to weld new ones in. I've searched online and have only come across crossmembers for the F-250/350. Would anyone be aware of ones available for the F150? Would the ones for the 250/350 fit on the 150? Has anyone fabricated their own?

FYI. I live in northern Scotland so heading down to the local junkyard and getting a Florida rust free box is not an option.

One more thing. I searched this site and only came up with this thread: "https://www.f150forum.com/f6/bed-crossmember-rot-need-some-help-120161/?highlight=box+crossmember".

Scotty.

Is this the one you are trying to find?

Hey, Thanks for the link. I saw this morning but I'm looking for the dreaded front crossmember. I think my only option will be to fabricate one.

Thanks again!

Lads,

I found these on amazon.

I'm hoping someone has had some experience with these. (sorry for the size of the pic, I can't resize it here).

Those look good to me, -if they are for the F150 bed. Better than having to fab one up.

We are repairing the bed as well, fortunately the underside is still good.

Thanks Jbrew! It was looking grim for what the folks around here call "the thing".
