Body Lift Question
Hey yall I'm new to this forum and look forward to being a member. I bought my '02 FX4 a little over 1 month ago and I already want more height but after checkin out suspension lifts can't justfy spending two grand on a good lift just to get a whopping 4 or 5 inches. So i'm down to wondering how difficult a body lift is to install on these and what are the troble spots (fuel/brake lines, parking brake relocation, wiring, etc.). I will probably order as long as there isn't something too terribly PITA in the way. BTW I have installed a 3 inch BL on my 88 so I have a good idea as to what is going on with these lifts. Just wanted to be prepared. And it seems that extra clearance would really help make truck easier to work on. Thanks.

i put on one my 01 supercrew it took me about a 10-12 hours it really isnt hard at all jus follow the directions and youll be fine. i didnt have any difficulty

it was a pain, took us a day and a half, and a few beers, the results were worth it

Thanks for the input. I wasn't planning on it being that hard anyway, but just want to be prepared and know what I should expect. Hardest part always seems to be getting the mounts/bolts out. One thing I was thinkin about at work today was the front bumper, do relocating brackets come with a Perf. Accesories kit or do you just fab up some?

The perf accessories does come with the bumper parts I just ordered it!! Should be here any day. I was wondering if you need to do anything to the trans, brakes, or anything like that. It says it has an extension for the steering but i didnt know if it need anything else?

mine took a good 2-3 days thats bc alot of the bolts were rusted...but i love the way it looks:thumbsup:

Yeah start spraying the bumper nuts, and body bolts now with PB blaster, it's your friend.
I hate the steering spacer, big PITA!!! Bumper bolts aren't hard |
