blinking OD light but no dtc?
So something in the trans is not happy. OD light is doing a steady blinking, getting some slipping and converter is not locking at all. I figure by this point a DTC would be present. But my innova scanner (1-2 years old) is not finding anything.
Does the 99-03 f150 have a separate module for trans codes? Or will this require a specialty scanner?
Is there some kind of reference I can use to compare to the rate of the light blinking? Perhaps some weird OBD1 style test sequence where I can shut the door 10x and honk once to get some kind of dumb self diag mode and blink the code back?

Some Innova's will read transmission codes, some live codes. It depends on the model number. I have a 3100 and it does not.
