My girl has a black crv and I feel like if I don't wash and wax it every few days it looks like it sat in a dust bowl for 10 years covered in glue

Haha exactly and I'm a pretty OCD person when it comes to my truck so it just constantly annoys me

Yeah, it does get dirty easily, I know because my F250 was black. But it looks **** good when washed and waxed. My brother tried to preach to me about this because he owns a black F150 and I politely reminded him that I owned a black truck loooong before he did and for a lot longer than he has. Black doesn't suck anymore than the dark green that is now or any other dark color such as burgundy or navy blue. I figure since the green I have now shows dirt just as bad as Black that when I paint it I'll just paint I black because I like it better.

I was going to do silver but I have tan interior and that would look goofy. I might would do red, but I like black better. White is definitely out, just not my style. Looks too much like a fleet truck the .

Kind of like that pearl color? I like it a lot. I said I wouldn't paint mine white but I would probably use the the Ford white.

If its the same paint code that my 250 had I'm gonna have to pass. I hated that Onyx black. I want something that has depth to it like the Canyon Red that my '89 F150 had, only black.

Haha, I used to think the same thing until I got rid of mine and now I want black again. I'll be hanging with the green for a while though, the deal is I gotta pay it off before I go spending too much money on it.

If I was going to do it, Id use gm paint code WA8555. It is the most true black oem paint code. Meaning it has the least mixed other colors into the black toner. I use it for the hot rods and bikes I paint all the time. It has a rich color and if done by a professional 1 coat #7 sealer 3 coats base 3.5 coats clear cut buff polish. The truck needs to be strait and true before paint though 80% of a good black paint job is in the detail prep work before spraying. And being a color gm has used for years and years if you needed touch up its readily available.

Thanks for the tip. Any idea where I can get examples of these paints from, maybe an auto body supply store I guess?

go into a good paint supplier and they should have a rolodex of color chips for you to look at, and be able to give you pricing
