Default best riding shocks

I have an 03 F150 XLT supercrew 4x4 FX4. Its my "company" truck. I love it and going to keep it forever. But now it needs new shocks. 90% highway driving but I do tow a bass boat some during the year. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Paul

There is no such thing as the "best riding shock".

Monroe sense a tracks and reflexes are fairly cheap though.

I have some Gabriel Ultras on the rear and Monroe Gas Magnums on the front and it rides fine for me.
There are several hundred threads on shocks here if you really want to research it.
So long as you don't get the cheapest you can find you should be OK. Some swear by KYB, others Bilstein, some love Rancho, others Monroe or Gabriel. These trucks are big heavy vehicles and drive like it.

I wasn't worried about ride quality,I was worried about being able to beat the **** out of my suspension and not worry about the shocks so I bought skyjacker. And yes,I have beat the hell out of them and they ride fine for me.

I've read many times on diff boards that Bilsteins are the way to go, someday soon I'm getting a set as these factory Rancho's BLOW HARD!

Best built and smoothest ride, but they are pricey!

I don't know what it's like to "BLOW HARD!" but I'll take your word for it.

If you can only last 8 you aren't good at blowing.
