He's in the army so probably got deployed and I think he went through a divorce, moved houses.. maybe some other stuff, not sure I haven't heard from him in a long time

I am interested in doing this as well. I am leaning towards Durabak, but can't decide between smooth and textured. I want to go white to match. I'm mostly concerned about getting an even coat so it doesn't look weird. What would be easier to roll on, smooth or textured?
