i just changed mine sat in the 15 deg weather in pa! what sucks it went out an hour an half from home at 11:30 at night. so while i was waiting for a ride i was freezing.
if you have a DMM, do a volt drop across both the pos and neg cables. double check your connections as well. but unfortunatley i think it is your alt as well.
