Axle swap
#2
I did this swap just over a year ago, but I went from the 9.75 to the 8.8. I didn't have to change anything. The 8.8 bolted right on in place of the 9.75. I haven't had and problems since the swap.

just curious why you would go from the rock solid 9.75 to the somewhat solid 8.8?

Possible if not it is easy to get it fixed. Shortening is cheap lengthening is a full replacement tube. Call the shop that would do it and ask them what info they would need they will explain it better than writing on here. Really simple with a tape measure.
