Default High pitch squeal

Hello. I have a 99' F150 4wd.

Today, it developed a high pitch squealing noise that appears to be coming from just the drivers side. It was an intermitten noise, not it seems to be there all the time, and the pitch doesnt change with acceleration or braking. My only thought could be the wheel bearing, but i'm no mechanic.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appriciated. Thanks.

Anyone?? It seems to sound like a siron now. I've had many mechanics listen and drive it and none of them have any clues. They say it's probably not the wheel bearing because its on both sides, and how likley is it for both to go out at once, especially when it's 25 degrees outside. Would the front differential fluid be low and that causing it to squeal?

Did they just drive it or did they jack it up also and spin each front tire or axle by hand?
Also did they check your front pads and rotors?

had a wheel bearing failure a few months back and caused hub failure, luckily only going 10 mph. It sounded like a high pitch noise that would come and go. the noise went away for about a 1 month prior to the hub failure. I would pull the wheels and unbolt the calipers and inspect the bearings. Any discoloration and it they should be replaced.

It could be a bearing or a brake issue or if its a stick, it could be a throw out bear. Kinda depends on the noise.
