Whoever told you that its bad for your tanny didnt know what they were talking about, it extends the life of your tranny by firming up the shifts, so theres no slippage of the clutches. Thats where it helps the most, the 10-15hp youll get from the custom tune is nice, but itll drive like a completely different truck, because it helps the tranny so much.

Actually Edge's are bad on transmissions because the harden the shifts up to much. If you are looking into a CS, I would reccomend buy a Insight CS/CTS for monitoring the Engine and temps, and order a SCT Xcal3 from MPT. On payday thats what I will be doing.

Only if you go overboard with firming up the shifts IMO.

Would love to know where you got that information from. But either way it's all irrelevant because power hungry no longer offers new custom tunes for 97-03 f150s

Ive been around the Edge bproducts long enough. The create too much heat because they remain unlocked longer than they need to.

All the posts I've read are from running canned tunes if thats what your referring too. And even at that youd have to be running it at extreme to possibly cause major problems. OP is asking about custom tunes.

Im kind of scared right now the truck has under 80 thousand on it and I cant really afford to buy a new transmission should I send this back? Also I got an email back from PHP (their sight is down until tomorrow) and they said tomorrow to fill out an order form and it takes 4-6 weeks for the program for my truck, I told them I had a 99 F150?
