Default Replacing intake, any tips, hints, or tricks?

ok guys, i developed a nasty miss fire the other day on cylinder #3, it has a nearly new cop (i've had the same miss on #3 before), boot and i went ahead and gave her new plugs on all 8 while i was in there (it had the stockers in it with 258,*** miles!! about 10,000 miles ago) back then i found that my intake manifold was broke right where the COP bolts down, not to mention the tiny leak it developed oppisite side of the T-stat housing, should have replaced then but i just couldn't swing it in my budget.

well now the "tiny" leak turned into a water fall, and the miss is back so i'm replacing the intake to hopefully solve both issues..

Tips, tricks & advice is needed and wanted badly! i have the step by step instructions for the job but i'll take experience over a computer print out any day! lol

Well if u got the fuel line disconnect tool for the fuel rails it could make it a little easier otherwise they are just in the dang way when u unbolt them. lol

Keep everything in order, when you take bolts out, put them back in their respective holes, clean EVERYTHING!!!! Torque to specs and in the correct order, and make sure to put rags in all of the ports as to not have stuff fall down them. On that note, get a vacuum with a thin suction tube, and make sure to suck out the intake and coolant ports so no debris is in them!

i dont have wires... i have COP's (coil on plug) & my #3 coil doesnt bolt down because the intake is broke in that spot.. but if anything the intake leaking the way it was could have fouled out #3 but if my money is on the intake fixing it, for now at least lol

great tip!! some gunk (most likley mud mixed with a lil oil) fell down in a couple of the spark plug holes & i was woried about getting that out but i'm sure i can get out if i make an extension for my shop vac to fit down in the holes, i got a good bit of it torn down today before the rain cut me off, & i spent way more time in town waiting on my intake to come in than i expected so really i only have about a hours worth of work done today.
hopfully this will sole a lot of my power loss issues.. who knows that "little" broken spot where the COP bolts could of a more 'infected' area as in i could have had a bigger crack that wasn't visible
