To anti-seize or not to anti-seize

If you were to be a little sloppy with it and it is on the bottom of the plug, it could cause a misfire (may be improper word here, but it will cause interference with production of proper spark). Safer to put light dab on threads just above the bottom of the plug.

If im reading this right, anti seize gets in the gap area and clogs the spark

That must be what he was trying to tell me. Anyway, I was careful to use the stuff sparingly and avoid the electrode. If I had too much on lower threads and it got on the edge of the hole at the bottom of the spark plug well as I was attempting to install the new plug, fumbling around to get it started could get the excess anti seize where I didn't want it.
