another starting up problem question...help me out please

Default another starting up problem question...help me out please

97 f150.. ill try and keep this short and simple

when its cold like in the mornings or when i go out after school to start it up it will turn over for about 2-5 seconds and then die ... then ill start it again fires up and its fine

but when its warm it starts up just fine and has no problems
...whats the problem?

When did you change your spark plugs and fuel filters last?

dad changed them before he gave the truck to me..i know they neeed changed.was going to do that last weekend but never got the time. but i know they both need it.
is that the problem?

If you know that they need replaced and you were going to do it, why not go ahead. See if that is the problem, and if not, that will rule out one part of the problem. Make sense?
