Cico7 I ordered the tank still waiting. Ill let u know how it goes. It don't look to bad. To let u know I had the rusty an one broken strap on mine. There is a recall on this trucks for the tank straps. Tackle u r right the smallest tank is 24.5gal. An goes up from there to 30gal. I had the 24.5 gal tank an actually there r 2 different 24.5gal tanks by measurements.

Did you end up replacing the filler neck? If so, did it do the trick? I am having the same issue you had (when I fill the tank at the gas station, I don't smell gas outside, but I smell gas in the cabin)

Have you crawled under the truck and looked for a leak ? I realize you probably have, who wouldn't, still....

This one may be a case of whale sharts (farts with fragments).
