I can not for the life of me find the airbag control module. iv looked behind the passenger side kick pannel and that behind that plactic piece on the floor above the tranny hump. the truck is a 99 xlt reg cab any help please!!!

 

It is part of the suplemental restraints central computer behind the right side kick panel. Check your manual and fuse. You have what is called a clock spring under the air bag and steering wheel. You need to disconnect the positive cable at the battery and ground it to the neg to kill the electrical system for 5 minutes. Even a static spark can set off the air bag when messing with the clock spring mechanism.
