Door lock repair
Help! My passenger side door lock won't unlock or lock from keyhole. I have manual locks and have sprayed lube on the mechanism and in the keyhole.
I can open the door from inside the cab.
Any tips? I searched the forum, but came back dry!

If you pull the lock cylinder you can bring it to a locksmith with your key and they can fix it. It will be cheaper than the dealership.
Also I'm not sure where you are located or the temperature there but they can be frozen as well so take that with a grain of salt

You also may be able to purchase a new lock cylinder pre coded by a ford dealership but if they aren't coded to your key you will have a separate key to lock and unlock that door.

No - I was hoping to avoid it.
Good advice. It's a southern California truck since day 1 and it was owned/serviced by the city for most of its life and with 62k miles (15 years old), I don't think the passenger lock was abused too badly.
I'll try to stop by a locksmith to see what they offer me.
Thanks, dudes!
You need to recode the door lock cylinder more than likely this is caused by the tumblers in the cylinder bending or breaking and it happens over time due to either not fully inserting the key or just plain old corrosion. You may be able to take the door lock cylinder out and remove the tumbler that is not flush with the cylinder. If you pull it out you'll see what I mean. The right way is to just recode it but by removing which I'm only assuming is one or two tumblers you can bypass the issue. Under each tumbler is a spring so DO NOT take the key out of the cylinder unless the sleeve is back together or you will be playing a fun little game trying to find the tumblers and all the baby springs.

So my entire spiel was a waste of typing I blame myself for assuming that by saying you can't lock or unlock your door meant your key wouldn't turn.
What did you lube that your calling the mechanism AND door lock without ever taking a door panel off. I understand the lock cylinder, not the mechanism
