Default Aftermarket headlight quality

Looking to replace my yellowed OEM headlight assemblies. Not looking for anything fancy, just reliable. I prefer clear over fluted, so would like to switch to Lightning or Heritage style. I've heard bad things should the various aftermarket brands, that they leak badly. What brands are reliable? I've always had good luck with Dorman, since they build to OEM specs. What about Sherman or Anzo?

Where did you pick up the stock headlights ... dealer, parts store, or online?

Are the stock Lightning headlights backwards compatible with a 99 non-lightning?

Yes they are. I have the lightning replica heads by eagle eyes with sylvania silver star ultras and they do really well. I need to replace my bulbs since they are 6 years old though. No leaks yet.

I have headlight depot brand lightning headlights for 2 years with no issues. Much better light than the stock.

Those are going to be over priced. I think I got both of mine and marker lights for 80ish off of amazon. The branding on these doesn't matter so much tbh.
